My Favorite K-Drama in 2013

It's true that I'm a Korean Drama lover. Not only for the story but I also like the OST. This year, there're many K-dramas I like. Here are the Dramas and reason why I like them.

I Hear Your Voice

Starred by the trend actor in Korea, Lee Jong Suk and one of great actress, Lee Bo Young. The story is unusual. It's about love relationship between dongsaeng and noona. I like the story because it gave you a lesson that if you are surrounded by people who care and love you, you will be protected from doing bad things. 

Synopsis

A thriller courtroom drama with fantasy and romantic comedy elements. It will depict the story of Jang Hye Sung (Lee Bo Young), a bold, sassy, thick-faced, comical, and materialistic public defender who becomes a lawyer after overcoming poverty and painful memories from her childhood, comes to realizations about society and justice after meeting Park Soo Ha (Lee Jong Suk), a 19-year-old boy who reads other people’s thoughts and Cha Kwan Woo (Yoon Sang Hyun), an innocent lawyer who lives a disciplined life. Jang Hye Sung is actually Soo Ha's first love after she gave a decisive testimony on his father's murder case 10 years ago and Soo Ha promised to protect her from the killer's threats. Meanwhile, Cha Kwan Woo is Jang Hye Sung's fellow lawyer who is a cheerful and idealistic former cop even though his character a bit slow, he is nice and pleasant with a firm idea of his principles and justice. Together they will team up to to find the justice in the courtroom and solve the toughest cases with less than 1% chance of winning.

School 2013

Even this drama started in 2012 but I watched it in 2013. This drama gave me a lot of lesson. I'm a teacher and I got so many things related to education from this drama. This drama gave me some examples how to be a better teacher. And also this drama brought some memories from my school age. Of course because one of my favorite actor, Lee Jong Suk starred in this drama.

Synopsis

This series is an update to the famed 'School Series' which aired from 1999 to 2002. It will focus on portraying realistic issues, struggles and dilemmas of today’s youths.

Story about Seungri high, a troublesome school that houses students from the most eligible to the most problematic. 'School 2013' shows different life stories of teachers and students as they grow up through conflicts and compromises.

That Winter The Wind Blows

I like this drama because this drama gather my favorite actor and actress Jo In Sung and Song Hye Kyo after their long hiatus. The story itself was not mainstream. And of course because my favorite singer, Yesung from Super Junior sang one of its OSTs, Gray Paper.

Synopsis

A melodrama about a man and a blind woman who don’t believe in love. Oh Soo is an orphan who is left heartbroken later in life after his first love passes away and comes to lead a goal-less life as a high stakes gambler. Oh Young is a lonely heiress who feels she must look after others and herself after her parents get divorced and she finds herself becoming visually impaired. The two will come to find the true meaning of love after meeting each other.

Cheongdamdong Alice

I like this drama because the story is good. So many lessons you will get from this drama. In addition, I like Park Si Hoo. 

Synopsis

Han Se Kyung (Moon Geun Young) is a talented young designer who lives each day with the motto "Strive for your dream to succeed". Until she met Cha Seung Jo (Park Shi Hoo) a president of a luxury brand shop in Cheongdam-dong who will change her life.

Facts About Lee Jong Suk

His first drama I watched was Prosecutor Princess. But honestly I didn't see him. Maybe his role was not good enough to tempt me. Then I watched him in Secret Garden. He was so both 'hot' and 'cool' with his character in Secret Garden. But I didn't like him much coz he was 'suspected' adore other male character in that drama. Then I watched him in 'I Hear Your Voice' and his character was really awesome. I become addictive to him. His character as Park Soo Ha was really stole my heart. His relationship with Jang Hye Sung who was older than him attracted a lot of Korean viewers that made the drama got very high rating. Korean viewers accepted the noona-dongsaeng love relationship and made that kind of relationship became a trend. After hypnotized by his charm in 'I Hear your voice', I backward watching his earlier hit drama 'School 2013' and again I've got hypnotized by his character.

In 2012, He got his first award for his work as a rebel student in School 2013. He won Best New Actor from KBS Drama Award.

In 2013, he got some awards for his work in I Hear Your Voice. He got best couple award with Lee Bo Young anf excellence actor from 6th Korean Drawa Award and got the same awards from 2nd APAN Star Award. He also got Excellence Award and Top 10 Star from SBS Drama Award. He won Best Actor Award and Hallyu Grand Award from 21st Korean Culture and Entertainment Award

In 2014, he got best actor from 27th Grimae Award. He's the youngest actor who got best actor from Grimae Award. He also got Best Couple along Park Shin Hye with their great chemistry in Pinocchio. He Got Top 10 Award and SBS Special Award.

In 2015, he got Most Popular Award (TV) from 51th Baeksang Award. He also got Best Actor for his work in Pinocchio from 8th Korean Drama Award. And he got Prime Minister Award from 6th Korean Popular Culture and Art Awards. (I'm quite sure that he will get some awards for his work in W in 2016, maybe he will get Best Actor from MBC Drama Award or maybe he will get Best Couple Award with Han Hyo Joo in W)

He is a long term friend to ZE:A Kwanghee.

He studied in Konkuk University majoring in Science of Movie and Art. He graduated this year.

He was prepared as a rapper from an idol group.

He can fly a plane. He got a three months training as an ambassador of Global Aviation.

He became an actor because he watched Rain in Full House.

After a two years hiatus, he came back with a new Korean drama W.  Before his comeback, he had a drama in China titled Jade Lover.

He gained popularity as lead actor since School 2013. After School 2013, he got a lead for 4 consecutive popular dramas. I hear Your Voice, Dr Stranger, Pinocchio and W.  It makes him known as an actor who choose the drama very well. He rejected a main role in slump drama Beautiful Mind. Actually, he thought that he failed in Dr Stranger, but he got his popularity in China because of Dr Stranger. He said that Pinocchio released his stress due to Dr Stranger.

Lee Jong Suk became the fourth Korean actor whose wax figure installed in Hongkong Madame Tussaud Wax Museum after Bae Yong Joon, Lee Min Ho and Kim Soo Hyun.

It was said that Lee Jong Suk lost all his advertisement contracts in 2016, which means that he doesn't have any ads contracts at all. Many said that it because of his airport scandal, when he rejected his fans' gifts. It's said that his attitude ruined his image, but many stated that it because he had his hiatus in Korea. Well, in my opinion, it is the ads side which lost because they didn't use LJS as their image brand. Look, he gets his popularity back in second.

I think (only my own opinion), he had a nose job. Whatever, I still like him. His acting skill is no joke.

Jika Bosan dan Lelah Bersabar Maka Bersyukurlah

Dengan usia diatas 30, perempuan pula dan belum menikah tentu saja menggelitik orang untuk berkomentar, ‘kenapa belum menikah?’. mungkin mereka tidak tahu bahwa saya, kami para perempuan single usia diatas 30 tahun tentu saja mendamba untuk bertemu dengan jodoh kami dan menikah. Usia saya tahun ini adalah 31 tahun. Usia yang sangat cukup bukan untuk menikah. bahkan bagi sebagian orang dengan usia 31 tahun, bisa dikatakan bahwa saya ini ‘terlambat’ untuk menikah.

Terkadang dalam hati kecil saya terbesit pertanyaan, “Mengapa Alloh belum saja memberikan jodoh kepada saya?”. “Sampai kapan saya harus bersabar dalam masa penantian ini?” “Apakah Alloh akan memberikan jodoh pada saya di dunia ini?’ dan masih banyak lagi pertanyaan ‘kapan’ dan ‘mengapa’.

Ada kalanya diri ini mulai merasa bosan dan lelah menjalani masa penantian ini. ada kalanya diri ini ingin menyerah saja kepada takdir Alloh. Astagfirulloh….Alloh sudah menentukan takdir atas diri kita. Alloh telah menentukan kapan dan dengan siapa saya akan menikah.

Jika bosan dan lelah itu datang maka bersyukurlah dengan apa yang telah Alloh tentukan atas kita. Bersyukurlah bahwa Alloh memberikan tambahan waktu kepada kita agar kita dapat mempersiapkan diri untuk menjadi istri yang baik untuk suami kita kelak. Bersyukurlah bahwa Alloh memberikan waktu lebih kepada kita untuk menikmati masa lajang kita lebih lama. Bersyukurlah kepada Alloh atas apa yang telah Alloh takdirkan kepada kita, karena Alloh Maha Tahu apa yang terbaik untuk kita. Ingat yang terbaik di mata kita belum tentu baik di hadapan Alloh tapi yang baik menurut Alloh sudah pasti baik untuk kita. Wallahu’alam …^_^…
