Kim Jong Kook Is a Bad Man?

Kim Jong Kook has starred in some variety shows. The famous variety shows which he’s starred are X-Man, Family Outing and Running Man. In those variety shows, he has many nickname or characters name. In X-Man, he had cute and shy character. He also had strong character which was often against to the strong man Kang Ho Dong. He had a character that everyone in other team wanted to beat him. In X-Man, he had a loyal follower, Haha, who often imitated his style and dance. And of course, he had some lovelines with many beautiful girls, therefore the famous one was his loveline with Yoo Eun Hye.
Family Outing was his first variety show after released from military service. He joined the show in episode 19. In the first episodes, he had a shy character. Even he had an awkward relationship with Lee Hyori and Park Yejin, the female members. In later episodes, he showed his strong character. He’s on the same boat with ‘the devil game’ and strong man Kim Soo Roo. His strong character often treated his weak hyungs, Yoo Jae Suk and the elder Yong Jong Shin badly to make the show looked more interesting. But sometimes, the hyungs took revenge by teasing him with women that made him got blushed. Because of his ‘bad’ character towards his hyungs, many viewers criticized him.
His recent show, Running Man, he has villain character as the Commander and SpartaKook. He treated all Running Man’s members in evil way. He treated his hyungs, Ji Suk Jin and Yoo Jae Suk badly. He also treated his dongsaengs, Haha, Gary, and Lee Kwang Soo unkindly. Even, he treated Song Ji Hyo, the only female members not as a woman. Those KJK bad characters invited the fans to hate him more. They didn’t like on what KJK did on the shows.
When KJK did the rude things to other members, they would criticize him. They would say that KJK is a bad and rude man. He had no manner toward his hyungs and he was unkind to his dongsaeng even he couldn’t treat woman nicely. Otherwise, if the other members who did the bad and annoying things, they will say that it’s for the show sake or it’s because of KJK himself, which stated that his bad things reflect on him.
Let’s imagine if there is no villain on the show. Will the show looks interesting. Or let’s compare to a movie. If a movie has no villain, will the movie looks good. A villain is a need for a movie or a show. Without villain a movie or a show will looks boring. KJK is the only RM member who become the main focus for every guest in RM to beat. It will be an honor for guest or other RM members if they succeed to beat the Commander. Yoo Jae Suk said that you can really enjoy your winning if you beat Kim Jong Kook (RM ep. 129). Well yeah, let’s see if Kim Jong Kook is a real bad man. Here some facts that proved KJK is not a bad man as showed in the show.
First, the PD said that KJK is the easiest person to work with. He always works hard. The PD even thanked him for his hard work. Running Man PD, Cho Hyo Jin was asked whether he had RM members that he liked. He answered that he liked all, but if he had to choose, he would choose Kim Jong Kook. The PD stated that KJK knew his role very well. He tried to ignore external distractions and even when he read negative comments about his character, he resolutely works and disregards it. That’s why the PDs were very grateful.
Second, Lee kwang Soo thanked KJK for making a character for him. He said that KJK who helped him found his own character. Furthermore, he said that KJK is a very good hyung. He said that KJK who trained him to become a stronger man. KJK asked him to do health general check up and did work out regularly. LKS said that he never paid his own meal if he was together with KJK.
In episode which Choi Min Soo became a guest he said that KJK is a real man. he said that KJK knew when he has to lose to a woman. CMS said that he had a feeling that KJK will definitely not be victorious over a woman. He said that a real man would lose to a woman. CMS stated that knowing when to lose is winning. So that’s why even though in that episode KJK lost to female guest, CMS stated that KJK was the winner.

So, for the haters do you think that Kim Jong Kook is a bad man?...

  4. Great post, I don't about all those people or where their commonsense was at but how could they take him being the "villian" so darn seriously? All the times that he would pwn his RM members, either by strength or wit, you could tell they was always having a good ol' time as well as getting back at him. This ish isn't for real, it's for variety. People will just make up and complain about anything. They complain when RM has good ratings they complain when it has bad ratings. I mean just hush up already. Some just like to complain and pick unnecessary things out because they're free to do so. If KJK didn't have an edginess to him on these show, how many would complain about that. Like you said it would be boring without a villian in movies and so forth. Him picking on others add color to the show but ultimately EVERYONE gets on each others cases, some more than others though. If he was such a "bad man" it would probably come up in the media in someways and not just from a bunch of side-lined spectators aka folks like you and I.

  6. He has always worked hard, even back in his Turbo days when he had set backs and all, he never gives up. In the early days, people said that his quiet character isnt suitable for variety and we can see how hard he tried to fit in and he really did a great job eventually. Imo, he deserves to be respected and praised. There is really nothing to hate about this man. So, Thank you for this post!!! <3
